New Millennium Sailboats was founded in Richmond Virginia by Otho Campbell in 1997 for the specific purpose of selling Macgregor sailboats in Virginia.
As a Macgregor owner, He recognized the need for a local dealership. In 2003 He purchase Havencraft of New England, another Macgregor dealerhsip that had been in operation for over 35 years. Shortly thereafter he opened another Macgregor Dealership in South Florida, also under the Trade Name Havencraft. The three locations impose certain challenges but bring a number of advantages to Havencraft and New Millennium Customers. Mr. Campbell and his staff of sub contractors who handle some of the rigging and delivery of the boats, are able to cover a number of locations on the east coast that make demos and deliveries very convenient. It is remarkable how many customers are encountered at the Miami boat show, who actually reside in New England. And the Annapolis and Newport shows, are international events as well and Havencraft and New Millennium always have a Macgregor at each of these shows and are able to deliver boats for free to customers anywhere on the East Coast.

Otho has sailed in most of the waters that his customers are likely to encounter (and that's saying a lot with a Macgregor as they tend to move around quite a bit more than the typical sailboat.) The Bahamas, The Florida Keys, The Everglades, Naraganssett Bay, Chesapeake Bay, The Erie Canal, The Finger Lakes, The whole Intra Coastal Water way, The Great Circle Route. You name it and he's likely to have been there on a Macgregor. And we are always interested in hearing stories of others out there too, as we have customers who have gone even further afield (Cuba, and the whole Carribbean, Brazil and the Amazon.)
